Posted on
Summer is here, the pubs are opening again and we are definitely ready to get social (in a socially distanced way of course!). These 5 summer gin cockatils are perfect for getting the garden party started in 2020, and we can personally vouch that each of these will give you that refreshing "ahhhh" moment from the very fist sip!
1. The Worsley Berry Smash
Ingredients:
50 ml Worsley Gin
15ml Bols Strawberry Liqueeur
10ml Lemon Juice
Handful of Strawberries
Soda Water
Ice
Mint to Garnish
Method
Using a muddler (or if you dont have a muddler the back of a spoon does the trick) give a couple of the strawberries a bruising to unlock their flavour and colour. Add the smushed strawberries to a long glass filled with ice and then pour over the Worsley. Add the lemon juice and strawberry liqueur and give a strong stir. Top up with soda and garnish with the remaining strawberries and mint. This recipe is perfect for sitting in the garden on a summers evening!
2. The Worsley Lemon Drizzle
Ingredients:
50ml Worsley Gin
15ml Limoncello
1 Fresh Orange
1 Fresh Lemon
Tonic Water
Ice
Mint to Garnish
Method
Add ice to your favourite glass and pour over the Worsley Gin. Add the Limoncello, and then top up with the tonic. Squeeze in the juice from the orange and add slices of lemon - the more you add the more zingy this will become! Garnish with a mint sprig and voila this will refresh your palette after a long day!
3. The Worsley & Tonic
Ingredients
50ml Worsley Gin
Schweppes Signature Light Tonic
Grapefruit
Basil
Ice
Method
In a long glass or copa add a generous portion of ice, and pour over the Worsley. Add the slices of grapefruit, giving them a slight squeeze as you add them to the glass, and then rub the basil between your hands to unlock the oils before placing in the glass. Finish by topping up with the Schweppes Signature Light Tonic and take your first refreshing sip. Perfect!
4. The Boothstown Boozy Gin Smoothie
Ingredients
50ml Worsley Gin
15ml Blackcurrant Cordial
Frozen Berries (you can choose yoru favourites!)
Rose Lemonade
Ice
Mint Garnish
Method
Add all of the ingredients into a blender and give it a good old blitz. It is as simple as that! This one is basically a grown up slush puppie - and we love them!
5. The Worsley Ginjito
Ingredients
50ml Worsley Gin
15ml Sugar Syrup
15ml Lime Juice
Mint sIngredientsprigs
Brown Sugar
Soda Water
Basil to garnish
Method
In a glass add the ice and tear the mint springs with a sprinkle of brown sugar into the glass. If you have a muddler then give it a muddle, if you don't have a muddler then give it a stir with a spoon so that the mint and sugar is distributed throughout the glass. Add the liquid ingredients and garnish with some fresh basil. If you want to make this extra boozy then why not substitute the soda water for Cava or Prosecco?
We hope that these recipes give you some summer inspiration - which one will you check out first?
